History of Chapter A611

The Chapter was founded on December 17, 2017, in Wiesbaden. The founding members were Georgios Charisopoulos, Christos Mantzios, Konstantinos Evangelidis, Vasilios Bouras, and Nikolaos Papadopoulos, who were informed about the activities and mission of AHEPA by the then Governor of AHEPA Europe (District 28), Anastasios Vasiliadis.

The Chapter’s area of activity covers the federal states of Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.

The name “Lukas Miltiadis Miller” was chosen for the Chapter in honor of the Greek who was active in the United States of America and served as the first U.S. Senator of Greek origin in the 52nd United States Congress.

The swearing-in of the first members took place at the headquarters of Chapter A608 in Stuttgart and was conducted by the then Governor of AHEPA Europe, Anastasios Vasiliadis, in January 2018. Additional members were sworn in during the 2nd Pan-European AHEPA Congress in Berlin by the Supreme Governor, Karl Hollister, in June 2018.

The Chapter currently has 21 members.

In the summer of 2018, the members of the Chapter donated school supplies (notebooks, pencils, crayons, drawing pads, pencil sharpeners, erasers, pencil cases, and other writing materials) to the 45 pupils of the border-area primary school of Peplos in the Evros regional unit.

On March 2 and 3, 2019, our Chapter took over the organization of the 3rd Pan-European AHEPA Pre-Conference.
